Keegan Allen is showing fans the painful aftermath of a robbery that left him bloodied and without his watch. The “Pretty Little Liars” actor posted a photo of his stitched head after being pistol-whipped outside a luxury grocery store in West Hollywood. His latest update thanked the people helping him recover, following earlier posts showing his injuries and security footage of the attack. Allen has also voiced his frustration with local safety, calling out California officials as authorities work to identify those responsible.
Keegan Allen Shares A Photo Of His Stitches
Allen’s latest Instagram update offered a look at his recovery after the violent encounter outside Laurel Supply: “Healing. Will update more soon. Thank you to medical team and law enforcement and everyone reaching out.”
The photo, which was shared on his Instagram Stories and reshared by the Post, followed a video he shared in the immediate aftermath of the robbery, showing his bloody forehead.
Allen was robbed and pistol-whipped during the attack. He also posted security footage capturing the encounter, bringing attention to what happened outside the store.
The Actor Says The Attack Left Him Concussed
Allen suffered a “laceration to his forehead,” according to the Post. Los Angeles County Fire personnel evaluated him, but he was not transported to the hospital. Allen said he later went to the hospital himself and described himself as “def concussed.”
The robbery also cost him his watch, a detail he addressed in a short, emotional reaction. “My life for a watch,” he said.
Allen further lamented that West Hollywood was “not safe anymore.”

Allen Calls Out Gavin Newsom And Karen Bass
Along with sharing the security footage, Allen questioned whether camera technology could help authorities find those responsible. He tagged California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass in an Instagram post following the Thursday robbery. “Let’s hope all these flock cameras that @karenbassla @gavinnewsom and everyone thinks will stop crime can find these very dangerous criminals. God bless,” he wrote.
Bass’s office condemned the attack in a response to The California Post and said the LAPD would assist regional partners as needed.
Sheriff’s Officials Announce More West Hollywood Patrols
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that its West Hollywood station would increase patrols following recent incidents. “In response to recent incidents, we are increasing the number of deputies conducting patrols throughout the city, including the Rainbow District. We are also using our available technology platforms and working closely with our Major Crimes Bureau to identify those responsible and pursue justice for the victims,” officials wrote Friday.
Authorities also reported a similar incident that morning, but said it was not connected to Allen’s attack.
The announcement comes as the actor’s posts have brought attention to the robbery and his concerns about safety in the area. Officials described a broader effort to increase deputy presence while working to identify those behind the incidents.
Allen specifically mentioned Flock cameras, which scan license plates and are installed in Los Angeles and West Hollywood. The technology has become a flashpoint in California, with concerns about privacy and sharing data with federal immigration authorities.
It remains unclear whether those cameras will be used in Allen’s case. The Sheriff’s Department did not tell The California Post whether investigators would use the technology to identify the suspects.
Keegan Allen Made His Mark On ‘Pretty Little Liars’
For “Pretty Little Liars” fans, Keegan Allen will always be Toby Cavanaugh. The actor played the mysterious Rosewood resident from 2010 to 2017, with Toby’s romance with Spencer Hastings becoming a major part of the show’s tangled web of secrets and relationships. His scenes opposite Troian Bellisario gave viewers plenty to follow beyond the hunt for “A.”
Allen later traded Rosewood for Texas, playing Liam Walker on the CW drama “Walker” from 2021 to 2024. His television résumé also includes an appearance on ABC’s “The Rookie” earlier this year.
