JCPenney Collabs with Ashley Graham to Reinvent Plus Fashion

Who doesn’t love a bit of retail therapy? But if you’re spending all your time fretting frumpy fits, shopping can feel like more of a chore than an indulgence. This is an irritating reality for plus size women, who make up a majority of the market. In fact, 68% of American women wear a size 14 or above, compared to a lackluster 20% of available apparel in that size range. “Plus size” has become synonymous with “plus inconvenience” for many wary consumers.

Fortunately, JCPenney has your back. That’s right, I said JCPenney. Yes, JCPenney is coming in clutch with the hottest styles. Because why shell out $250 when you could get the same fit for $72? Disposable income is an eternally in-demand accessory.

JCPenney has just announced a partnership with model, Broadway star, entrepreneur, and designer Ashley Graham. One of Ashley‘s first modeling gigs was for a JCPenney catalog. This partnership was written in the stars. Their three year business deal seeks to revolutionize the plus size industry, starting with flattering clothing. Every body is banging. You are not an Amazon delivery, so you shouldn’t have to dress like a box. Ashley and JCPenney understand and actually respect curves. Inclusion should not be innovative – it should be mandatory.

Plus fashion deserves to be as bold as the women who wear it. Let’s go Ashley! Yes, JCPenney indeed.
