All Comes From Nothing FW 2016 Collection

In 2014, fashion designer Eva Yiwei Xu founded All Comes From Nothing in hopes of creating a ready to wear women’s line for creative lifestyles. Now, this past Monday during New York Fashion Week, Xu presented her new FW 2016 Collection at ArtBeam Studio in Manhattan, and continues to carry out her vision. Packed with signature shades of grey and navy and pops of green, the new collection is just as we thought it would be: stylish, monochrome perfection.

Inspired by minimalist artist Sol LeWitt, many pieces from the collection are stamped with geometric, patterned shapes and prints. In regards to his art, LeWitt said, “In my case, I used the elements of these simple forms—square, cube, line, and color—to produce logical systems. Most of these systems were finite; that is, they were complete using all possible variations. This kept them simple.”
This simplicity is what attracted Xu, and she implemented this very idea in her new collection.

Our favorite pieces from the collection are the outwear—the tailored trench coats, the light grey and ice blue puffy coat, and the grey, geometric-stamped cape. We’re also loving the curve-hugging off-the-shoulder tops, striped pants and skirts, and tailored dresses. As far as beauty goes, the sexy, highlighted cat eyes and high, sleeked back ponytails really tied these looks together.
