Ella Emhoff, a fashion model and daughter of second gentleman Douglas Emhoff and stepdaughter of U.S. vice president Kamala Harris, has signed with UTA.
The Hollywood talent, entertainment, sports and advisory company will represent Emhoff in all areas. The multidisciplinary artist and creator is looking to expand opportunities in the digital, fine arts and philanthropic spaces.
Emhoff has a social media following of over 310,000 followers on Instagram and turned heads at the 2020 presidential inauguration by wearing an embellished Miu Miu coat and custom burgundy Batsheva dress. In 2021, Emhoff founded her company Soft Hands Inc., a monthly hosted event where she teaches those attending how to knit, with an eye to creating community through art.
She has partnered on these events with The Standard East Village and ReCreate Collective, among others. With UTA, Emhoff is looking to do more knitwear collaborations with fashion brands as she explores other creative outlets.
Emhoff has also walked runways for some of the top names in fashion, including Balenciaga, Miu Miu, Simone Rocha and more. She has also been an ambassador for brands like Stella McCartney, Mulberry and Calvin Klein, and earlier signed with IMG Models, the international agency representing numerous modeling superstars, among them Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, Karlie Kloss, Miranda Kerr and Gisele Bündchen.
Emhoff has also been an advocate for mental health awareness, LGBTQ+ and women’s rights, including via panels like The Washington Post’s Style Sessions.
