Any staple items that you think are fall must-haves?
An LBD, of course. There are so many ways to style it! I’d also say a great pair of skinny jeans and some gorgeous statement shoes (my favorites are from Zara). Skinnies will take you everywhere (I’ve been to Paris in mine), and great shoes earn you huge style points everywhere you go. It doesn’t matter how basic the rest of your look is.
What’s your number one tip to feeling good in what you’re wearing?
Confidence, confidence, confidence! Also, don’t wear tight pants when you’re feeling bloated. Listen to what your body is telling you and dress the most flattering for that. Having a fat day? Try something a little looser with some great shoes.
What is your favorite piece(s) from your wardrobe?
It’s so hard to choose! I have a floral pencil skirt from Anthropologie that dresses up any top, a nautical maxi dress from LOFT that looks amazing by itself or paired underneath a blouse (I also got it at $5 marked down from $90!), amazing printed harem pants from Forever 21 (they’re both chic and comfortable), and my trusty Ray-Bans that I’ve owned for seven years now. They go with absolutely everything.
How do you pick out your outfit for the day?
I take everything into consideration: how I’m feeling, what I’d like my style to be for the day, the weather, a piece that inspires me. It really depends on what I’m thinking when I wake up.
Describe or mention the perfect, comfortable shoes for the modern day woman-on-the-go.
Booties! They come in so many colors, patterns, and styles that it’s hard to say no. They’re perfect for any commute, and you can switch to heels in the office or before a meeting.
