Fashion offers a window into who we are. Few know this better than former Fifth Harmony member and trendsetter, Ally Brooke. She’s taking notes from an icon. “My inspiration is just life,” she says. “My fiance, magazines…Jennifer Lopez has been my all time highest fashion inspiration.” Style can be a bold source of self empowerment. “For me, it’s a way that I can express myself. I can show the world who I am.”
At 5’0”, Ally knows how often petite women are overlooked in the fashion world and in positions of power. It’s important to both her and JCPenney that all women know that their stature holds no bearing on making a big impact on life and delivering on big fashion energy.
Ally has set out to fill the void by collaborating with JCPenney to provide petite women the designs they deserve. Bold Elements x Ally Brooke gives women 5’4 and below long overdue access to flattering fashions. “The line is so diverse, it’s for all body types, and it’s also focusing on petites like me, which is something that’s so important for me. I have struggled my entire life to have specifically pants fit me. I’m very proud of my line because it is very diverse and inclusive, and it’s just what I want to put out in the world.”
So, alongside this Bold Elements x Ally Brooke collection, JCPenney will soon announce the first of its kind “Petite Power List” featuring eight petite women making waves in their industries, who will be honored during an upcoming event in NYC. Each woman will have the choice of receiving grant up to $5,000 from JCPenney toward a nonprofit of their choosing to help them continue to make a positive impact on their communities, or the mentor opportunity with Ally Brooke or Catalyst Brands’ Chief Customer and Marketing Officer, Marisa Thalberg, about fashion, confidence, and claiming space as petite women.
Ally aspires for her clothes to spread the joy of style, regardless of stature. “I want them to feel empowered. I want them to feel like themselves. I want them to feel vibrant. I want them to feel like their most authentic and true selves. That’s my goal, and I want them to just feel fantastic in my line.” If you’re a petite woman trying to find a style that works for you, look no further. “Totally check on my line, and especially because it’s for petite women, so it does the work for you. You don’t have to go and get altered or anything. But I would say you should own who you are and find something that really makes you feel good and begin there and then build your own collection within who you are.” Shop Bold Elements x Ally Brooke HERE!
