Ai WeiWei: Never Sorry
The film follows Ai, a Chinese artist and an outspoken political activist. The documentary presents him installing his art show in Munich and his 100 million ceramic piece at the Tate Modern a year later. During this time Ai gets attacked by the police in Chengdu, his Shanghai studio is destroyed by the Chinese government, and he is detained in April 2011 at the Beijing airport. Close friends and family are interviewed and every aspect of his career as an artist and activist is presented. If you are an activist looking to be inspired, this film is for you!
