Beauty subscription boxes are having a moment. It seems as if every beauty blogger is gushing about at least one service nowadays, and the Berlin-bred brand Glossybox is quickly gaining popularity here in the United States. What sets it apart from the rest, however, are its lux beauty samples, and this October, its adorable special edition French themed box—decorated with flirty fashion illustrations by Jamie Lee Reardin.
“Illustrating this box was the perfect opportunity for me to express my appreciation for such a beautiful country,” said the renowned illustrator about her collaboration with Glossybox. “It is such a pleasure to celebrate France and its people in this way.”
Reardin, who sites Walt Disney and Tim Burton as inspiration (Cruella de Vil and the Corpse Bride, anyone?), went on to say that for this project, she wanted her illustrations to be simple, yet detailed. “Whilst it highlights the different regions in France, I also wanted to include one of my signature characters to bring some charm and personality to the overall design,” she explained.
Each Vive La France box will include projects from the very best French brands, ranging from classic favorites to modern-day must-haves, and will be available this October on Glossybox.com.
