Make Your Own Face Masks

Table of Contents

Want to do something fun while also making your skin look fabulous? Here are some super awesome (and messy) recipes for homemade face masks! Each recipe makes enough face mask for one person, so add to the recipe if you want to try this out with friends!

Avocado Face Mask
-1/2 avocado
Options (choose one):
-1 tsp. honey
-1/2 banana and 1 egg yolk
-2 tbsp. oatmeal
Mash the avocado and mix with the ingredient of your choice. Leave the mask on for ten minutes, then rinse off.
Oatmeal Face Mask
-1/4 cup plain oatmeal
-1/4 cup water
-2 tsp. honey
Variations (choose one, if you’d like):
-2 tsp. applesauce
-2 tbsp. plain yogurt
-1 tbsp. lemon juice
Grind the oats in a blender (not totally necessary, but a good way to avoid big clumps of oatmeal). Add water, as needed, until mixture is thick and gooey. Then, add the honey and the other ingredient from the list above. Leave the mask on for ten minutes, then rinse thoroughly.
Egg White Face Mask
-1 egg white
Optional:
-1 tsp. lemon juice
-1 tsp. olive oil
Separate the egg white from the yolk. Mix the egg white with lemon juice or olive oil, if you’d like. Apply mixture to face and leave on for fifteen minutes, or until the mask is dry. Rinse or peel the mask off.
These face masks are fabulous and relaxing! Use them on a cozy night in or at a sleepover with friends, and you’re bound to have a blast!
