The Crown
One of my personal favorites that I have added to my list is the Netflix series The Crown, chronicling the life of Queen Elizabeth II from her early reign to present day. I love me a well-made period drama, and this series really pays close attention to detail. As much as my eyes are glued to the jewels and costumery of this series, we are here to focus on the beauty looks applied to Claire Foy, who plays Elizabeth. It’s duly noted that the Queen does not wear a lot of makeup. However, a signature look that this iconic figure is known for is fair, flawless skin, lightly filled in brows, wide bright eyes, and a soft, berry lip. For the skin, reach for a full coverage foundation that has an almost satin-like finish and follow up with a full coverage concealer to help brighten your undereye area and any blemishes. For your eyes, a nude liner applied to your lower lash line will make any eye shape appear larger and more awake. For the lips, a berry matte lipstick will pull everything together for a look that we deem as royal as ever. Long live the Queen!
