4. Microbeads
Maybe they’re in your cleanser, your exfoliator, or your body wash, but everybody has, at one point or another, owned a skincare product with microbeads. These beads, often listed in an ingredients list as polyethylene, wash down your drains and eventually into the ocean where they can’t biodegrade and live on forever. Yikes, right? Luckily, there are tons of products that use different ingredients for exfoliation, so there’s no reason not to switch to something a little more environmentally friendly.
