A music artist and a supermodel teaming up? We at Cliché already like the sound of that. In a new (almost) eight minute-long short film, Pharrell Williams and Cara Delevingne star in a new Chanel video, Reincarnation. According to E! Online, the film, directed by Karl Lagerfeld, aims to capture a quick look into Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel’s life, presenting a time in 1954 when Coco stayed at an Austrian resort.
At the start of the film, Delevingne portrays a hotel server, but, through a dreamlike sequence, also plays 19th centrury Empress Elisabeth, dressed in an ivory off-the-shoulder ball gown. Williams plays a hotel elevator boy, whose tailored jacket inspires Coco. In the same dream scene as before, Williams is transformed into Emperor Franz Joseph I of Austria. The film also features Geraldine Chaplin as Coco Chanel.
And if that already wasn’t enough, Delevingne and Williams also sing and dance. Williams even wrote a song just for the film called “CC the World.”
