For anyone who gets frustrated with their partner’s gaming habits, Tee Grizzley may have some news to change your mind.
During an appearance on the “Earn Your Leisure” podcast, the rapper and gamer pro shared that he has “made millions” from simply playing video games.
“The way to make money, you gotta know how to repurpose things,” Tee Grizzley explained, detailing how he generates income through Twitch. “Boom, you got subscribers, you got ads, you got people that can donate to you — and the sky’s the limit with all that stuff.”
He continued, “With your videos saved, so you can take those videos [and] you can make content out of them on your TikTok, your Instagram, YouTube. You can [even] get a bag off Snapchat.”
This isn’t the first time Grizzley has highlighted his lucrative gaming ventures. As AFROTECH™ reported, in a 2022 interview with the “Million Dollaz Worth Of Game” podcast, Grizzley shared that after achieving his goals in rap, he was shifting his focus to his custom “Grand Theft Auto” server, Grizzley World RP, attracting viewers with his “Call of Duty” gameplay.
While Grizzley’s passion for gaming began in elementary school, it wasn’t until the COVID-19 pandemic that a friend named North helped him see the potential for monetization. At the time, North set up a free server for Grizzley, projecting earnings of $5,000 a month.
Grizzley far exceeded his friend’s expectations, explaining that he made nearly $50,000 a week from Grizzley World RP. The server boasted 90,000 members at the time, each paying an admission fee ranging from $100 to $400.
“I put my sh-t up. I stream it on Twitch, right? I get paid from Twitch,” Grizzley explained, AFROTECH™ reported. “I take the Twitch videos that are already streamed, [and] put it on YouTube. Get paid from the two, and I get paid from the server. Then you got sponsorships, you got ads.”
He continued, “Most importantly though, when these people do pay the $100 up to $400 a month… to come in there, they turned around and started making $20,000 a month. Now they ain’t gotta be in the streets no more.”
As of September 2024, Grizzley has 1.1 million followers on Twitch and 781,000 subscribers on his Grizzley Gang Gaming YouTube channel.
