March is an eventful month. It’s Women’s History Month as well as the beginning of spring and the NCAA tournament. And the soundtrack the culture continues to choose to celebrate this time of year is the 2015 classic “March Madness” by Future.

Born Nayvadius DeMun Cash, Future is an Atlanta native and trap music legend. He initially entered the industry as a part of the Dungeon Family collective, dropping a series of mixtapes. According to his website, the Future mixtape era led him to sign his first major record deal with Epic Records.

In 2012, he released his official debut album “Pluto,” which featured hits like “Tony Montana” and “Same D*mn Time.”

Future would continue to release a series of successful studio and collaborative albums with artists such as Drake, Lil Uzi Vert, and Juice WRLD.

The 39-year-old’s music career has earned him several nominations and awards, including two Grammys trophies. Although the rapper has advocated for his hard work, he credits his long-time friend and business partner, Ebonie Ward, for his long-term success in the music game.

In a 2022 interview with Billboard, the father of eight described Ward’s impact on his career.

“She don’t just manage my music; she manages me. I might call her for some small sh-t, the biggest sh-t [or] some crazy sh-t. My whole life is in her hands. So it’s different, but I trust her that much. I’m like, ‘D-mn. I have somebody in my life I could trust [and] I feel safe with. I always wanted that,” Future explained.

According to Celebrity Net Worth, his success has led the accomplished rapper to earn a net worth of $50 million. However, this milestone isn’t enough for the “Mask Off” artist.

AfroTech previously reported that Future desires to join the ranks of Diddy and Jay Z in the hip-hop billionaire club, as outlined in a GQ interview.

“How’s the future looking? Billions, that’s how it’s looking,” Future replied in the interview. “Office buildings, real estate companies, publishing companies — just success all-around, whatever I put my mind to. Whatever that is in the future, whatever I’m putting my mind to, I want it to be successful and reach its highest potential.”

Let’s look at what moves Future is making to help him reach that financial milestone.
