Korrine Young: Yesterday Suede

How do you pick out your outfit for the day? Does it depend on how you are feeling, the weather, etc.?
Well, of course I turn to my wardrobe catalogue, but a precursor to that is, “Who do I want to be today? Am I feeling zen, edgy, laid-back, classic, etc.?” It’s all about who you feel like being that day.
Describe or mention the perfect, comfortable shoes for the modern day woman-on-the-go.
Right now, I am going to go with slip-on sneakers. They slip on, they slip off, they come in fancy fabrics, and they go with any work outfit. They are kind of like a cross between a ballet flat and a lace up sneaker.
Do you have a favorite place(s) to shop?
Loaded question. I’ll break it down. For cocktail dresses, I prefer Anthropologie or BCBG for their originality. For work-related clothes, it’s Zara; they have unique items that are reasonably priced. For casual wear I shop Piperlime. I love Piperlime for the diverse options, including the array of designers, price ranges, and types of clothing.
How do you keep your skin looking and feeling healthy during the winter?
I moisturize all day long. I try not to wear makeup during the day unless I have to, and I apply my Aveda Tourmaline Hydrating creme 3-4 times throughout the day.

What’s the one thing that you think is the biggest winter trend or soon-to-be?
Long sweater coats. They have this versatility that makes them a staple item. You can layer them under coats, you can belt them, and when you throw one over jeans and pumps it creates a very dramatic effect. Another amazing plus to sweater coats is that you can wear them into spring over short skirts or shorts.
