Do you have a favorite place(s) to shop?
I’m a huge fan of off-price retailers because I’m all about the treasure hunt! Clearance racks have always been my go-to stops to shop, so finding whole stores with clearance-like prices and famous makers… I can never say no. I love Forever 21 and Zara for trendier, fast fashion finds, and I hit up H&M and Target’s e-commerce sites for basics. Workout gear is always from Marshall’s because they have the best selection for the best prices! And I have a few favorite boutiques: Smak Parlour and Flourish Boutique. I’m a bit biased, though; I’ve worked at Smak and I’ve worked with Flourish on my blog, but the ladies at both are just the bomb.
How do you keep your skin looking and feeling its best during the fall?
Colder weather is rough on my skin (is it kind to anybody’s?!), so having to battle dryness while still dealing with hormonal breakouts here or there can be a challenge. My any-season favorite moisturizer, though, is Aveeno’s Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer. It has a bit of salicylic acid in it, so it’s the perfect balancer for my skin tone. It’s been one of my only consistent facial go-to’s from the start (#cantstopwontstop). Otherwise, I’ve been experimenting with a homemade Argan oil serum. I’ll get back to you with the results on that one!
What’s one thing that you think is the biggest fall trend or soon-to-be?
I think a lot of popular fall trends transcend time and re-appear every season. We’re talkin’ the chunky and slouchy sweaters, riding boots, statement accessories, and chambray this and that. But I’m a diehard fan of leopard, so I’m itching to pick up a pair of leopard booties. Take trends and make them your own! The bootie trend is fantastic, but a little leopard never hurt anybody.
