On June 4th, up and coming Toronto singer/songwriter, Jules released her debut album, “Heart of Armor.” Produced by Karen Kosowski (Emma-Lee, Ash & Bloom), “Heart of Armor” is filled with keenly observational, insightful and emotional tracks, such as “My Little Soldier” and “Super Girl”, which have already gained this young artist national and international songwriting awards and recognition.
Astonishingly mature for her age, Jules writes with keen observation, saying that she focuses her writing on “what I see in the world around me and what I see in other people.” Each of her songs tells a story, including the title track, which conveys a story of fierce loyalty in the face of adversity. Her new song, “Never Give Up” speaks of believing in yourself, and, of course, experiencing the fun that life has to offer in “City Lights”.
