After coming out on top as a winner during CTV’s talent competition show’The Launch’, 20 year-old Olivia Lunny is proving herself as a force to be reckoned with. The Toronto-based artist harnesses a mellow vibe with her velvety vocals that yields a truly special sound. Olivia gave a glimpse of her incredible talent on her first two dynamic singles, with her angelic voice effortlessly cascading over catchy lyrics and slick indie-pop production. The songs received a deafeningly positive response, racking up over a million streams and solidifying Olivia’s determination to pursue her dreams.

Olivia continues to impress with her new single,”Think of Me,”an infectious indie-pop anthem co-written by Tyler Shaw and produced by AJ Healy. The song has a relatable message of wondering where you stand with someone. According to Olivia the inspiration came from musing over past relationships with Shaw in the studio, sharing “I had gone through a recent breakup at the time. The lyrics we came up with were super honest and described what I was going through very accurately. It turned into a post break up anthem I think we can all relate to. We’ve all been there, wondering to ourselves ‘do you think of me?’ I think a lot of us drive ourselves crazy thinking we’re the only one going through a roller coaster of emotion. The reality is we’re all human and all experiencing these universal feelings of love and heartbreak.”

Olivia Lunny is poised as the next breakthrough Canadian artist/songwriter; preparing for this moment since she started writing music at the tender age 12. As she embarks on this new era in her artistry, Lunny reveals the refined musicality she first began cultivating as a little girl and later showcased in performing to a crowd of 40,000 at the Winnipeg Folk Festival at age 14. Just three years later, in 2018, she released her self-titled EP which garnered her a Western Canadian Music Award nomination for “Pop Artist of the Year”. That success led to her appearance on season two of CTV’s The Launch, resulting in her winning season 2: episode 4 and recording the Top 40 hit “I Got You”- which hit #26 on the charts and has racked up over a million streams across platforms. In the wake of that milestone, Olivia went on to perform as opening support for the legendary Lionel Richie.

After releasing her second single”Blacklight” in October 2019, Olivia explored her experiences navigating the uncertain waters of adulthood and balancing love with heartbreak in order to inspire her latest batch of material. Now, the 21-year old artist is set to share a body of work that spotlights her sharply detailed lyrics and spellbinding vocal presence like never before.
