Hi Darlings,
It’s finally fall, my favorite season! I was so over the heat this past summer that I’d prefer it to snow than be 100 degrees outside. Don’t get me wrong—I love the warm weather and going to the beach, but waiting underground in the subway stations was brutal. Not only do I prefer the fall weather, but I also love fall clothing. The only thing that was comfortable to wear during the summer was maxi dresses and, after a while, that got pretty boring. I love my fall wardrobe of boots and booties, stockings, hats, leather jackets, flannels button downs, and plaid print anything!
I love plaid print and how it gives off a cozy and laid-back look. Plaid has become very popular throughout the years, especially in outerwear. It’s a ‘90s classic look that looks like it’s here to stay. Plaid gives off a warm vibe when used on a jacket and makes a bold statement when used on accessories, such as a scarf or handbag. However, you shouldn’t overload on the trendy print. Let me be clear: do not wear more than one plaid print piece at a time because it looks sloppy. If you are going to wear a plaid handbag, go with a solid peacoat so that it doesn’t take away from the handbag. Adding a plaid scarf to a leather moto jacket is a great way to easily change up your fall look as well.
Plaid flannel button downs are my year-round go-to; I wear my flannels with everything from dresses, to jeans, to leggings, to shorts. I wear them in different ways, too, depending on the weather and where I’m going. Plaid flannels make a perfect concert/festival outfit piece because you can wrap it around your waist if it gets too hot; they are comfy and relaxed, exactly how you should dress when going to a concert. Here’s a little secret: I buy both women and men button downs because the men’s are longer and I love the oversized look. I have so many flannels and I keep buying more since I have the option of the men’s, too!
I hope you all enjoy the fall and stay cozy in your flannel pieces! Drink that coffee, take in the cool breeze, and feast your eyes on the beautiful colored leaves.
XOXO,
Tatiana
