In 2010, Lee Paton debuted a British luxury fashion label to the world that featured an elegant line with the utmost attention to details, from tailored to hand-finished couture creations. As of 2015, Paton announced that his company will also design and retail high-end, ready-to-wear outfits for both men and women—called Lee Paton Men and Women—while still creating couture in the Lee Paton Private Division.
The ready-to-wear line includes sophisticated designs, handmade from the UK, with embroidered and hand-finished details—the same attention and dedication that is done in the Lee Paton Private Division. The first addition to Paton’s ready-to-wear label begins with Lee Paton Women—‘For Elizabeth,’ a line that pays homage to the award-winning dancer and Royal Ballet’s Principal Character Artist, Elizabeth McGorian, who is also a private client of Paton. Paton was inspired by Elizabeth to be his muse for the Autumn/Winter 2015 collection, rather than a traditional theme. The dancer’s admiration for furs and eye for detail matched perfectly with Paton’s style aesthetic.
From Paton’s mind and Elizabeth’s taste was born the AW15 collection, which features luxurious garments made with cashmere wools, silk velvets, intricate tweeds, romantic lace, soft cottons, smooth leather, and lavish fur. These rich materials have been draped into divine, classic silhouettes that are comfortable in fit and luxe in appearance. Grace, effortless elegance, and class all appear within the collection, paying ode to Elizabeth’s lovely personality from the talent of Paton himself.
