Cliché: Tell us about your character in a couple sentences.
Joe Grubbs: He is lazy and horny at the same time. Plus, he enjoys his weed and gaming against Asian girls.
Have you ever played this role in your own personal dating life?
I do find myself battling between being lazy and horny at certain times.
What do you like/dislike about your character?
Honestly, I love his character.
Tell us about your most memorable experience while shooting this series.
Asides from getting to gaze into Joey Russo’s eyes all the time? I really enjoyed getting to shoot the bar scene with Joey, Ronnie, and Kua.
How did you come to be a part of this project?
I was a former student of Lauren Patrice Nadlers’ and a fellow classmate to Renee Kay.
What was it like working with your longtime teacher wearing the director hat?
It was easy. I was already familiar with her style of directing and what she normally expects from her actors.
How collaborative or how much freedom did you have to “play” or improvise on the set?
A ton. Lauren loves to do a take where we get to get off book a little and improv, which is always fun for me.
What was the funnest part of shooting this episode?
This was probably the easiest day of shooting, which was nice.
How has your character grown or evolved from the previous episode, if he has?
Nope.
