Tell us about your character in a couple sentences.
Candy is a girl who wants badly to find love and romance, but sometimes can get a little out of control.
Have you ever played this role in your own personal dating life?
No, I have not.
What do you like/dislike about your character?
I like that she is very unapologetic with who she is and has a very free-spirited personality. I don’t want to say I dislike anything because I don’t want to judge her, but I do think she could spend some time away from the tanning beds.
Tell us your most memorable experience while shooting this series.
Getting the freedom to improv walking down the stairs drunk with Joey.
How did you come to be a part of this project?
I’ve been studying with Lauren Patrice Nadler since I was 18!
What was is like working with your long time teacher wearing the director hat?
It was amazing. And also very comforting because I knew no matter what, I would have the best guidance and so much freedom. Lauren really creates a space for actors to have fun and play, so that was great.
How collaborative or how much freedom did you have to “play” or improvise on set?
A lot. There was no box; you could really experiment and just have fun, which is why this was so great to be a part of!
What was the funnest part of shooting this episode?
Getting to play and improvise. Also, getting to work with Lauren!
