Cliché: Tell us about your character in a couple sentences.
Bobby Pataki: James is a musician from the east coast. He recently joined a pretend band called “Going Solo.” His hobbies are cigarettes, air drumming, and beautiful chicks who can sing.
Have you ever played this role in your own personal dating life?
Never.
What do you like/dislike about your character?
I dislike the chain smoking and like that he can dance if he wants to.
Tell us your most memorable experience while shooting this series.
It was watching Brit Morgan shoot her scenes. She is amazingly talented and incredibly hilarious. I couldn’t stop laughing!
How did you come to be a part of this project?
I have worked with Lauren Patrice Nadler for many years and she always considers me for a role in her projects.
What was is like working with your long time teacher wearing the director hat?
Very comfortable. We have a lot of trust between us, especially when it comes to the actor/director relationship.
How collaborative or how much freedom did you have to “play” or improvise on set?
A lot of room for both. I was constantly inspired to invent crazy odd behavior.
What was the funniest part of shooting this episode?
Watching Kim and Brit perform their scenes. I was on the floor in stitches.
