Me at the Crowne Plaza in Times Square for Couture Fashion Week

I don’t know if you can tell already, but this issue is brimming with fashion features. Can you blame us, though? Writing this fresh from New York Fashion Week, I think it’s safe to say clothes have been on all our minds lately. From trendy ready-to-wear pieces to extravagant couture gowns, we’re sharing our favorite collections in this very special fall issue.

Highlights from my own experiences this season at NYFW—stories of which be found throughout this issue, as well as on my personal blog and ClicheMag.com—include getting to go backstage at Hervé Léger, where I watched gorgeous models get their hair and makeup done by some of the world’s most talented stylists; attending the All Comes From Nothing SS16 Preview and meeting the designer, Eva Yiwei Xu (what a sweetheart!); and seeing over a dozen international designers present their imaginative collections at the Crowne Plaza in Times Square (and I even got to hang with talented photographer Brandi Boehm, who photographed most of the looks on
pg. 20).

Fashion Week aside, we are also excited about the fall. I always get excited when it’s time to plan fall content because it is easily one of my favorite seasons, thanks to the colorful leaves and stylish trench coats. From the best ways to transition your summer wardrobe into the fall (pg. 42), CAPULET’s covetable new fall collection (pg. 44), and the best everyday hair and makeup ideas (pg. 28), I think you’ll be just as excited about fall as we are.

Last but certainly not least, we can’t forget to mention the obvious: our two beautiful cover girls, who have probably been looking forward to this season as much as we have: Inbar Lavi, who will appear in The Last Witch Hunter alongside Vin Diesel on October 23, and Jillian Rose Reed from MTV’s hit show Awkward. Personally, Reed’s character, Tamara, is one of my favorites on the show because of her clever “Tamaraisms,” so I am super excited to have her grace the cover this season!

Now, read on, fall fashion and beauty lovers, and embrace this beautiful season while it’s here.
