I think it’s safe to say I’ve been looking forward to spring since September, back when I first laid eyes on dozens of gorgeous spring/summer collections and beauty trends at New York Fashion Week. (Remember, for example, those braided crowns and beaded dresses at Hervé Léger’s presentation? Dreamy!) Even after being a fashion editor for the last four years, the wait between collections still feels eternal. Can’t we just get these pieces now? Can’t we skip the snow boots and sweater tights and go right to wedge sandals and bare legs again?

At last, spring is finally here, and there’s a whole lot we’re looking forward to this season at Cliché. Not only are brands like Michi and Fabletics inspiring us to get into shape for the summer and look cool while doing it (pg. 40), but we’re also excited to finally swap out our dark lipsticks for some mauve or pink hues (pg. 27) and throw on some seriously cool shades to match. Our team is also planning outdoor adventures and what to wear while exploring (pg. 48), as well as the perfect bag to stash everything you need. Speaking of bags, this season I’ve discovered a new favorite brand called Sage Femme, who even walked us through how they hand-stitch their genuine Italian leather bags one by one (pg. 38). Fair warning: you’re going to want one, and a phone case to match, in every color.

We’ve also got our eyes on about a dozen TV premieres this spring, and talked to both seasoned and rising actors, actresses, and musicians we’ll be paying close attention to (starting on pg. 58). If you’ve been itching for a new show to watch or new bands to check out this spring, then we’ve got you covered!

Finally, our interviews with our two beautiful cover girls are must-reads. Laura Vandervoort graces our cover for the second time in two years and tells us how she feels about Syfy’s TV show Bitten coming to an end, and Brec Bassinger opens up about being a role model for young girls everywhere on Nickelodeon’s Bella and the Bulldogs.

Now, if anybody needs me, I’ll be playing Bravely Second: End Layer for the rest of the spring. You think I’ve been waiting for this season for a long time? I’ve been waiting for this game for two years, and now it’s finally here!

Happy reading.
