On July 7 at Paris Fashion Week, the mother and son pair behind the Busardi brand showed their semi-couture new Autumn/Winter 2015 collection, aptly titled “Queen of the Night.”
“The sky before sunrise is soaked with love and light, but she ultimately chooses to see fear and darkness,” said Busardi Muntarbhorn, Creative Director of Busardi, of the inspiration behind the collection. “She’s like the Queen of the Night.”

Looks from the strikingly beautiful new line include a black brocade cape, violet and navy dresses and headpieces adorned with feathers, and satin cocktail dresses with fur trims and lace appliqués. This smoky, stormy midnight theme is seen throughout the line. Soft pink and peachy hues are few and far between, but reflect the idea of a ladylike peace “once the storm clears.”
Up and coming Austrian designer Nora Rieser also worked closely with Busardi this time around to create custom-made showpieces for the collection, particularly the feathery masks and headpieces. According to the brand, “Goose shoulder quill, rooster trim, and rooster saddle feathers are all individually cut, draped, and shaped by hand before being sewn onto tailor-made calf leather bases.”
