You are starring alongside Denise Richards in the new StyleHaul and Maybelline series Vanity as Vanessa Ivy. As an actress/model, did you find that any of your real life experiences collides with your characters?
Kind of. One thing about Vanessa Ivy is she’s a bitch. [laughs] I am not like that in person. I do not like to portray that type of person, but I do have that person in me, so it was very awesome to be able to do this role and just let out that emotion that I have. Another thing about Vanessa is that, like Maggie, she is very passionate about what she believes in and she works hard and she’ll do what she needs to do for her career, so we are kind of similar. However, she’s got a bit of craziness that I don’t have.
You’re going to be in the movie The Nice Guys starring Ryan Gosling and Russell Crowe. Can you tell me a bit about the character you’ll be playing? What was it like working with them?
Well, this role was a smaller role than some of the others. Unfortunately, my scene wasn’t with Ryan Gosling or Russell Crowe. I wish it was because it would’ve been so amazing to have worked with them. My role is a very different role that I have never played before: a ‘70s porn star. My outfit was completely ‘70s and it was really cool and different and again, it was something that I have never done before.

You also play Vivian Johnson in the daytime Emmy award-winning soap opera The Bay. What is your favorite thing about her and your least favorite, if there is one?
Vivian Johnson is like the girl next door. She is a sweetheart and she went to fashion school overseas. I like her as a character because out of all the roles that I have done, I am the most similar to her. She is very sweet and caring, but her heart is too big and she ends up falling back in love with her high school sweetheart. She lets her emotions get involved in the drama, but other than that, she is a great character.
What is next for you on the horizon? Are there any projects you’d love to get involved in next?
I recently auditioned for a movie, which I believe I got, so I’m hoping that goes into production soon! I have plenty of magazine spreads and covers coming out over the next month and I don’t have anything else as far as acting set in stone, but I am definitely pushing myself to work hard and to continue to reach my goal and be a great actor.
