Kim Kardashian says no handouts for baby North West.
According to Huffington Post, the celebrity mama told the London Evening Standard’s ES Magazine that she expects her daughter to get a job and save money to get what she wants. That’s what Kim K did!
Kardashian said, “I saved up for this Dolce & Gabbana dress I really wanted, or like in high school these Prada shoes that my parents wouldn’t buy me. And I remember they were $400, and I had to save for the entire year to get them…We didn’t get anything [from my parents], we had to get a job if we wanted it. So I was working in a clothing store and I would save and save.”
With Kardashian and Kanye West as parents, North West likely won’t ever have to worry about not getting the clothes or other items she wants. As a baby, she’s already getting free designer brand products. But Kardashian says she’s going to be strict with her daughter and not just about working hard and earning money.
Kardashian previously told the Daily Mail, “I’m a strict mother. I’m really fun and playful, but I’m really strict on nap time, and sleeping in her own crib.” She also added, “And maybe on weekends, [North will] come and sleep in the bed with us. But … I’m not crazy strict.”
Good for Kim to want to instill hard-working values in her daughter! But, with such famous parents and their spotlight in the media, I do wonder if North is ever going to experience truly hard work, or at least retail employment like her mama did.
