Heidi Klum and Seal are officially divorced.
According to E! News, a Los Angeles judge approved the former couple’s divorce papers and entered the information into the government’s system.
This news comes after the supermodel and singer filed for divorce in April 2012 and agreed on a settlement this past July.
In a joint statement, Klum and Seal discussed their separation: “This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children’s sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy.”
Since their separation, the two celebrities, who have three children together, have been amiable. Klum casually chatted about Seal during an interview on Ellen, stating, “He does travel a lot, but when he’s in town he tries to come by all the time.”
Klum, who is currently dating art dealer Vito Schnabel, certainly seems to be keeping positive in spite of the divorce!
Bravo to Heidi and Seal for remaining poised after their divorce. If only all separated couples could remain this civil!
