Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union are spending some time with their family this Christmas.

The basketball star and the actress shared scenes from their Christmas festivities with their family, which included Wade’s daughter Zaya, 16, whom he shares with ex-wife Siovaughn Funches, and the couple’s daughter Kaavia James, 5.

Wade is also dad to son Zaire, 21, with Funches, and son, Xavier, 10, with Aja Metoyer.

In November, the basketball legend noted how making sure his daughter Zaya Wade feels “safe” in confiding to him is key, especially given how “most people are more open with their best friends — people you choose than what you’ve been given.”

“I don’t want to just be one of those people who’s just been given to Zaya and she doesn’t feel open and confident in me,” he said of his daughter, who came out as transgender in 2020. “I want to show her what unconditional love looks like so she can use me as this sounding board through life.”

“I feel like it’s shown in Zaya,” he added of his unconditional love. “It’s shown in Zaya through the world because of her being a part of the trans community.”

This fall, the couple threw a “Wade Thanksgiving” party as they celebrated the holiday with daughters Kaavia and Zaya, as well as other family members, as seen in photos shared on Instagram.

“Thankful for the ones we hold close 💜,” Union, 51, wrote in the caption of her carousel post.

“My favorite day of the year,” Wade, 41, added in the comments section.

In a video posted from the gathering, Kaavia, who looked festive in a green dress and red lipstick, recited a Thanksgiving prayer in front of guests during the party, as she stood in between her mom and dad.

A following photo showed Union flashing a peace sign as she and Wade posed with Kaavia beside a lit-up “Wade” sign in front of a shrub. Wade posed for another shot with his little girl as the pair shared a kiss outdoors during the bash.

In a second clip, Union danced with some relatives outdoors as a band was heard playing the instrumental to Beyoncé‘s “Cuff It.”
