“American Nightmare” opened at No. 1 on the Netflix’s English TV chart following its Jan. 17 premiere. The documentary racked up 21.4 million views during the Jan. 15-21 viewing window as viewers followed the “real-life Gone Girl” story. Thus, taking down Harlan Coben’s mystery-thriller “Fool Me Once” for the top spot after its two-week run.
Now in the No. 2 spot, the series earned 11.2 million views and putting its total views to date at 72.2 million, so it’s no surprise that Netflix ordered two more shows from the author. “Missing You” and “Run Away” will be the next adaptations to come to Netflix. Both produced by Quay Street Productions, Coben will serve as executive producer through his company, Final Twist Productions.
