Banana Republic Summer 2015 Hair

When newly appointed Creative Director Marissa Webb debuted the edgy Banana Republic Summer 2015 collection earlier this month, she didn’t just debut stylish new clothes, but ultra chic hair styles to boot. The mastermind behind the looks, TRESemmé Stylist Jeanie Syfu, styled the models’ hair in trendy twists and loose waves, giving a modern twist to a classic. Below, Syfu gives us tips on how to recreate the styles on your own.

Double Twist:

  1. Apply TRESemmé Thermal Creations Volumizing Mousse on damp hair and rough-dry ends for volume and texture. Finish blow-dry by using a round brush to smooth the texture at the hairline.
  2. Curl hair vertically, using a 1-inch curling iron, to create loose waves. Once curled, brush back the hair to create texture and lightly spray TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Finishing Spray.
  3. Gather hair at the hairline and split into two sections. Begin twisting hair at the crown, working your way to the nape of the neck and secure with bobby pins, leaving the lengths of the hair loose. Repeat twist with the remaining hair.
  4. Gently pull loose hair around the hairline to frame the face and finish by spraying TRESemmé Fresh Start Volumizing Dry Shampoo to mattify the texture.

Loose Waves:

  1. Prep damp hair with TRESemmé Thermal Creations Volumizing Mousse and dry using the diffuser attachment on the blow-dryer.
  2. Create a deep side part and liberally curl hair, using a 1-inch curling iron, to create a tousled wave.
  3. Mist look with TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Finishing Spray for a light hold and tuck hair behind both ears, leaving piecey strands in front.
  4. Mattify look with TRESemmé Fresh Start Volumizing Dry Shampoo.
