Outfit Details: Altuzarra Top, Pants, Belt & Bag, Dior Sunglasses, By Far Boots
Dressing in all neutrals isn’t something I avoid, but it’s where I become a bit more discerning. When I’m building a look around cream, or chocolate layered with camel, I want something in it that gives the outfit dimension and a little life. That might be fringe that moves as I walk, the shape of a buckle, or a small bit of embroidery on a collar. The colors themselves are easy to wear, so each piece needs a detail that catches your eye and holds it.
The trick is letting texture and finish do the work that color usually would. Suede and velvet shift in the light, hardware can feel almost like jewelry, and a scalloped edge or contrast stitch adds interest up close. Those are the touches that keep a neutral outfit from feeling flat, and they’re a big part of why this side of fall dressing feels so personal to me.
Fringed Suede Jacket
Long fringe and rich suede bring movement and texture to this relaxed jacket.
Velvet Bag
Plush velvet gives this structured tote a saturated finish that stands out against softer shades.
Patchwork Jeans
Contrasting denim panels turn a straight-leg jean into something far more distinctive.
