Happy Groundhog Day! After an oddly warm start to the winter season and a record-breaking Christmas high of 70 degrees for the northeast, folks were beginning to think that winter was never going to truly make its way in. Let us not be fooled, however – those warm winter days were just the calm before the storm; Storm Jonas, that is.
With the snow and chilling temps becoming a thing of the past as more mild weather makes its way in, Groundhog Day has arrived, and Punxsutawney Phil has let us know that we will be seeing spring roll around early this year after not seeing his shadow this morning.
Winter Wonderlusters are probably bummed to hear the news, but Punxsutawney Phil has spoken and we have warmer days upon us!
