These siblings are a triple threat!

WSFA-12 reports Jean, Jeanet and Jeanice Stephenson have earned a nursing degree from South University in Montgomery, AL. What’s more, their mother, who had previously worked as a nurse, was the motivator for their educational journey and milestone.

“My mom was a nurse,” Jean Stephenson told WSFA-12. “She was my inspiration for joining nursing.”

The triplets also added that attending the same university had its perks.

“If one person doesn’t know something, you can come to the other, and maybe they’ll explain it a little better,” Jeanice explained to the outlet.

Jean added, per WSFA-12,“We motivate each other, we help each other a lot, we make sure everyone is passing through, make sure everybody is learning everything at the same pace.”

Working together is nothing new for the sisters. It was a behavior that they they exhibited at an early age, they say.

“Growing up, we always always shared everything, sharing cars, sharing clothes, sharing rooms, sharing bathrooms,” Jean told the outlet. “So, we were always very close because we shared everything.”

Jeanice added, “It was fun growing up together, being together.”

Looking ahead, the triplets would not mind if their paths crossed again. The outlet notes they would be happy working at the same hospital.

As AFROTECH previously told you, the Stephenson sisters aren’t the only family to turn a graduation ceremony into a family affair. In December 2023, mother-daughter duo Barbara Wiggins, 58, and Tanisha Wiggins, 36, graduated from Onondaga Community College in Syracuse, NY, and earned their Associate of Science degrees in human services.
