The Kansas City Chiefs star has been recruited as the spokesperson for and new face of KSI and Logan Paul’s energy drink brand, Prime, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He has joined fellow athletes Manchester City FC’s Erling Haaland and MMA fighter Alexander Volkanovski.
As previously reported by AFROTECH, the brand generated $250 million in sales in 2022, its first year, and anticipates surpassing $1.2 billion in annual sales for 2023.
“Prime is a disruptive brand that has taken over the beverage industry since it first launched,” Mahomes shared in a statement, per The Hollywood Reporter. “They are gamechangers, and that’s exactly what I strive to be on the field. Our partnership is a winning play, merging innovation and excellence, setting a new standard both on and off the field.”
Under his new deal with Prime, the outlet details that Mahomes is set to work alongside the company’s team in special events, social media, and charitable activations, including through his charity, 15 and the Mahomies Foundation. Additionally, Prime has donated $100,000 to his charity.
