Dame Dash claims Drake may have interests in buying his stake in Roc-A-Fella Records.

As AFROTECH™ previously reported, Dame Dash is in the midst of having his shares sold after an $800,000 judgement was placed on him in regard to a copyright infringement and defamation of character lawsuit.

With a chance to invest in Roc-A-Fella Records, the interest is high as it brings partial ownership of the copyright to Jay-Z’s debut album, “Reasonable Doubt.”

“Based on feedback I have received from interested parties (and I can’t mention names), this auction will likely bring out many household names in the sports and entertainment industries as well as those interested in a piece of a historically significant company, which holds an interest in a timeless debut album,” Dame Dash’s attorney Natraj Bhushan explained to Billboard.

Bhushan’s prediction may be ringing true as Dame Dash recently shared on the “America Nu Network” show, he received a direct message from Drake, who was looking to make an offer. However, it appears the offer from the “One Dance” rapper has yet to materialize.

“Drake hollered at me through DM and made an offer, and I’m not quite sure what happened, but I thought that he had got with Jay or something,” he said on the show. “But it would be a good time to close, but if you got it, you know. I wouldn’t do it if you don’t got it… If you want to own ‘Reasonable Doubt,’ if you want to own a third of it [and] have a say at the board meetings for at least the next seven years and make money off of it, I would give these chains.”

To actually purchase Dame Dash’s stake it could cost a pretty penny. It is reportedly worth $1.2 million, which amounts to 33% of the label’s shares.

Dame Dash has been looking to sweeten the deal since the announcement of the auction was released. As AFROTECH™ previously reported, for an offer over $10 million, he says the deal will include a Roc-A-Fella grill and an original Roc-A-Fella chain.

“‘Cause I was the only one that gave out Roc-A-Fella chains when Roc-A-Fella really existed,” he explained, according to Complex. “If I don’t give you the chain it’s not a legit Roc-A-Fella chain. You get one of these, this is legit. This is the old-school one from off my neck. You know like when I took one off my neck and gave one to Kanye, Cam’ron, all that.”
