What’s your number one tip to feeling good in what you’re wearing?
While I’m the first one to jump on the bandwagon for a new trend, I think the number one tip is to wear what you like! Who cares what the trends are? Culottes are back this season, but I find the shape of the pant leg makes me look bone thin and short—not one of my favorite looks. Instead, I am sticking to slouchy pants, a look that I adored wearing over the summer. When you feel comfortable and like what you see in the mirror, you feel good!
What is your favorite piece(s) from your wardrobe? Do explain.
My favorite pieces are those that have a special meaning to me. One of the pieces nearest and dearest to my heart is my Nomination bracelet. I received it over 10 years ago and never take it off! It is personalized with my name and was a gift for me from my parents when I graduated middle school. I remember loving it because it was the first real piece of jewelry that I had ever received. Today, I still love the simplicity of the silver and gold link bracelet. It literally goes with everything, and I still receive so many compliments on it. Did anyone else have a Nomination bracelet years ago? They used to be such a huge trend in my area. I’m wondering if anyone else still has/wears theirs!
How do you pick out your outfit for the day? Does it depend on how you are feeling, the weather, etc.?
My style changes everyday. For a typical work week, I normally plan out about 8 outfits for the 5 days because I know that I will wake up in the morning and change my mind about what I had picked out the night before. Most days I love color, classic shapes, and feminine details. However, depending on my mood, there are days when I reach for sportier pieces or feel a little bit more rock & roll.
