A healthy lifestyle includes eating healthy, drinking enough water, exercising and keeping a positive outlook towards life. With these, you will be sure of leading a fulfilling life. Exercise is crucial to one’s health. Those who fail to exercise are always faced with a lot of health issues be it physical, social and emotional ones. Exercise will help you keep off excess weight and lower the risk of some conditions. That is why most people in this era are spending a bit more time in the gym trying to stay fit. It is an excellent move by the way.
Women and the Gym
There are so many forms of exercise available today. It might be yoga, cardio dance, spin or any other form of exercise. Now, for a woman, the gym place involves a lot of sweating. Any kind of exercise is bound to cause sweating. While this is a good thing, you may be concerned with how you can keep your skin supple and hair beautiful even with all those things happening. Well, below you will find some beauty secrets that you should know (as a woman) if you work out every day.
1. Post Workout Shower
There is nothing that feels more heavenly than a post workout shower. It is just the perfect feeling in the morning. After the shower, pat dry your skin with a clean towel and apply a moisturizer immediately. It will help retain moisture in the skin, making it feel smoother and softer throughout the day. An effective moisturizer will protect your skin from premature wrinkles better than even the most effective wrinkle creams available today.
2. Dealing with the red face after workout
After the workout, you will notice that you face red especially on the cheeks area. While this is not a bad thing, you may feel the need to lower the attention from this area. To do this, make your eyelashes more appealing. Luscious eyelashes have the power to draw all the attention on your face, making you appear beautiful without having to wear too much makeup. Apply natural oils (such as jojoba oil or coconut oil) to the eyelashes to make them longer and thicker.
3. Applying Makeup
A good moisturizer will take about half an hour to dry off. Efforts to trying to apply foundation while the base cream (the moisturizer in this case) hasn’t dried off may make it slip off. To avoid this, once you use your moisturizer and eye cream, give them time to dry off. You can take this time to do your hair or something else that is constructive.
4. Dealing With The hair
Carry a shower cap with you as you head to the gym. As you exercise, you may have your hair in a bun or a ponytail to prevent it from interfering with your workout. I don’t need to mention the discomfort it causes on the face once it comes into contact with sweat. After working out, you hair may feel sweaty. You may wash it with water, a good shampoo and conditioner. Afterwards, use the blow dryer that is as far away from the showers and steam rooms as possible. It is because wet hair will take long to dry in moist areas. Don’t forget to apply some hair oil afterward.
5. To Prevent Pimples
Acne breakouts occur when one is involved in intense workouts. To prevent this, you need to stop touching your face while exercising. Oils found in hands (combined with sweat) are known to trigger breakouts. Use a clean towel to wipe off the sweat instead of using the hands. Also, ensure that you don’t apply foundation as you head to the gym. After the workout, don’t forget to wear sunscreen before you step out. It will protect your skin from environmental factors that may cause harm to your skin. For example, you will get sun damaged skin if you exposure your skin to excess UV rays without the protection of sunscreen with the right SPF.
6. Dealing With A Post Workout Headache
Some women will complain of a headache after working out. To deal with this pain, use peppermint essential oil. After the workout, rub a drop of the oil on the temples to relieve the pain. You can also apply it to the back of the neck to release tension that builds up during workouts. Peppermint essential oil will not only deal with a migraine but also sore muscles.
7. Sweat in the Eyes
As you exercise, you leave the sweat at liberty to do whatever it wants. Sometimes, it will find its way to the eyes. There is no worse feeling than this. To prevent this, wear a headband before the exercise. All the sweat will seep into this band and will never fill in your eyes again. The headband will also hold your hair together, keeping it off from your face.
Conclusion
A gym is a great place to shed off excess weight or to keep fit. However, most women might shy away from it on the thought of all the sweating they will encounter. Frizz hair, sweaty hair and sweaty skin are not exactly what you need in the morning. Discussed above, you will find gym beauty secrets that will help you have an easier time.
