Ed Letter: Dec 2015/Jan 2016

Table of Contents

With the holidays around the corner and the new year on the horizon, I—like many others I know—have found myself in deep reflection. I would be lying if I said this year was an amazing one; in fact, it was challenging most of the time and heartbreaking the rest of the time (thank you, 5 o’clock news). But because of all this, I was even more thankful for the little things in life. While thinking of a location to shoot my Ed Letter, I knew I wanted to be surrounded by the foliage. I’ve always admired the trees for letting go of their leaves so gracefully, and someday I hope I can let go of certain things just as gracefully, too. While many view this season as a time when things are dying, I see it, instead, as a time to reflect on the past year while making room for the new. And that’s where we come in!

In this issue, we want you to end this year with a bang, starting with festivities: from the best holiday party outfit ideas (pg. 36) to the best beauty gifts for your besties (starting on pg. 22), it’s time to get in the holiday spirit. Then, for the new year, we’ve got you covered on the hottest winter coat trends (pg. 32) and tips on how to finally get your blogging business started (pg. 76)! And that’s only the beginning.

We also have our two gorgeous cover girls, Sabrina Carpenter and Torrey DeVitto, who are helping us ring in the new year in style, both with music and their hit television shows. Plus, we’re having holiday giveaways all month long on clichemag.com, so be sure to visit our site and enter to win some awesome prizes!

To those who had a wonderful 2015, I hope 2016 is even better. And for those, like me, who had a bit of a rough year: stay hopeful! To quote Coldplay’s new song “Up&Up” (I had to!): we’re gonna get it together somehow.
