Curious which TV actresses made the highest-paid list from Forbes this year? This month, Forbes released the list and it’s not too surprising based on the last 7 years. Sitting at the very top of the list, Sofia Vergara is now on her 7th year in a row as the reigning salary for actresses in TV. Yes, once again, Sofia Vergara tops the highest-paid TV actress list. According to Forbes, Vergara made $42.5 million from June 1, 2017 to June 1, 2018. How does she do it? The Modern Family star is financially savvy. It would seem that her earnings aren’t just from her role on the hit show. The $42.5 million is a combination of her TV earnings, endorsements and licensing deals. Thanks to lucrative collaborations, such as her collaboration with SharkNinja Coffee and Rooms To Go, Vergara receives nearly half of her salary from other business deals. Vergara’s manager and business partner, Luis Balaguer, told Forbes in recent years that their “attention is on the people watching Modern Family and how to appeal to them outside of the show, too…Our endorsement department is a well-oiled machine.”
Who Else Made the Highest-Paid TV Actress List?
Coming in at No. 2 is Kaley Cuoco from The Big Bang Theory. Her yearly earnings were $24.5 million. Cuoco is followed by Grey’s Anatomy actress Ellen Pompeo with a still-impressive $23.5 million. Pompeo spoke to The Hollywood Reporter back in January about her earnings: “When your face and your voice have been part of something that’s generated $3 billion for one of the biggest corporations in the world, you start to feel like, ‘OK, maybe I do deserve a piece of this.” We have to agree.
