If you don’t know the name Miri Ben-Ari, chances are you know her original sound. The Grammy Award-Winning Violinist, Miri Ben-Ari, has worked with Kanye West, Alicia Keys, Jay-Z, Armin Van Buuren, and that’s only naming a few. She is a producer, composer, and has performed in prestigious venues around the world, including Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, and New York Fashion Week, among others. Born and raised in Israel, Ben-Ari has proven to be an amazing violinist with the ability to truly capture the soul. Fusing together her classical training, her love of jazz, hip hop and dance music, she is credited with creating her own original new sound in music, playing to help bring about a better world. It is clear that she is not your everyday musician. Aside from being the new face and global brand ambassador for Harman Kardon, being a Goodwill Ambassador of Music for the United Nations Associations Brazil, and being the musical muse for Arianna Huffington #Third Metric, Ben-Ari has won countless awards. She is an Apollo legend, recipient of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Israeli Award from Israeli President Shimon Peres, the Humanitarian Award from The Jewish Federation, and was honored by the First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, who recognized Ben-Ari at the White House as a Remarkable Woman.
Besides being an accomplished violinist, Ben-Ari is a truly caring person with a strong sense of duty. She has worked with dozens of organizations and is co-Founder and CEO of Gedenk, promoting tolerance through arts and self-expression. In between preparing for her upcoming performances at the Nobel Peace summit in South Africa, and after her talk at the Disney Imagineering iD8 summit, Cliché was able to catch up with Ben-Ari to get a look into the mind of such a beautiful and talented woman.
