Joan Rivers and Giuliana Rancic
Legendary comedian and fashion pioneer Joan Rivers, most known for her raunchy jokes, hosting The Tonight Show, and co-hosting Fashion Police on E! News, passed away on September 4, 2014 after experiencing complications during a recent throat operation at a New York clinic. She was 81 years old.
“My heart goes out to Melissa and Cooper who have lost something that can never be replaced,” co-worker and good friend Giuliana Rancic said, in regards to Rivers’ surviving family. “Their bond was truly one-of-a-kind. They had the greatest mother and grandmother anyone could ever hope for.”
“My life is so much fuller and happier because I got to share it with this beautiful person, a true genius,” Rancic continued. “I woke up today unable to grasp what the world will be like without her and at the same time feel so privileged to have called her my friend.”
Celebs, comedians, and friends immediately took to Twitter to remember the hilarious woman in all her glory, and shared experiences, photographs, and her very best jokes. Below, we’ve gathered some of our favorite tweets from the people who knew and loved her best. She will be sincerely missed.
