Lisa Marie Presley Laid to Rest at Graceland in Public Funeral
Priscilla Presley is expressing her gratitude for all the love sent her way after the passing of her daughter Lisa Marie Presley.
Lisa Marie was laid to rest next to her son Benjamin Keough, who died by suicide at age 27 in 2020, at Graceland Mansion in Memphis, Tenn. on Jan. 22. The estate is also where her father, Elvis Presley, is buried.
“Thank you all for your condolences, you have touched me with your words,” Priscilla tweeted on Jan. 23. “It has been a very difficult time but just knowing your love is out there makes a difference.”
Lisa Marie, who died at the age of 54 on Jan. 12, was honored at a public memorial service that was attended by stars including Elvis actor Austin Butler; family members including Priscilla and Lisa Marie’s three daughters Riley Keough, Harper Lockwood and Finley Lockwood; and many adoring fans.
The service consisted of several musical tributes and readings, including a message Priscilla read that was written by one of her granddaughters.
“Lisa Marie Presley was an icon, a role model, a superhero to many people all over the world,” she said. “But Mama was my icon, my role model, my superhero, in much more ways than one. Even now, I can’t get across everything there is to be understood or known about her, but as she always said, ‘I’ll do my best.’”

She also recited a poem titled “The Old Soul” that was about Lisa Marie’s life.
