Pharrell cries tears of joy during interview with Oprah? Pharrell Williams sat down with Oprah Winfrey for an upcoming episode of Oprah Prime on her OWN Network, and was moved by a video shown to him of people dancing to his chart-topping song “Happy”.  The video montage of people all over the world creating their own interpretations of “Happy” caused Pharrell to well up, and it was clear that the singer was instantly moved by the appreciation of his fans. “Why am I crying on Oprah?” Pharrell said through tears as he was overcome with emotion. He also stated “It’s overwhelming because I love what I do and I just appreciate the fact that people have believed in me for so long that I could make it to this point, and feel, to feel that.” (Daily Mail)
The 41 year old singer who doesn’t look a day over 25, sported one of his famous Vivienne Westwood hats as he discussed his rise to fame, his song-writing process, and the music that helped him to become a seven-time Grammy winning recording artist and producer. According to Pharrell, his best songs are inspired in two different ways. When he has a really good gut feeling about something, it’s written in the shower or on a plane. In the interview, Pharrell also talks about his new album “G I R L”, and his wedding last year to model and designer Helen Lasichanh.

I thought it was very touching how emotional Pharrell got when he saw the video montage of his fans. It shows that he really loves what he does and is appreciative of the support he receives. I recommend that everyone watch the video of the interview which I have linked below to see what an amazing person Pharrell Williams truly is.
