To all you avid “Fast & Furious” fans out there who were deeply saddened by the death of Paul Walker, one of the franchise’s main characters, I have some good news to share with you. According to the franchise’s official Facebook page, The late actor Paul Walker’s brothers, Caleb and Cody, have joined the production of “Fast & Furious 7” and will stand in for him to complete the movie.
Walker who died in a car crash over Thanksgiving weekend, had already shot his dramatic scenes and most of his action for “Fast & Furious 7,” according to the update via Facebook, and the film has since resumed shooting. Both of Walker’s brothers bear a striking resemblance to him, and the update states “We came together and all felt the only choice was to continue, we believe our fans want that, and we believe Paul would want that too.” Universal will release the film April 10, 2015, nine months after the original July release date.
The fact that Paul Walker’s brothers help complete Fast & Furious 7, is a very big deal. It is admirable, and quite emotional because Universal didn’t just decide to get some random actor to fill in for Paul, they got his blood to do it. There are so many fans around the world who will greatly appreciate this decision, and I’m sure Fast & Furious 7 will be a box office hit because of it. Paul may be gone, but his legacy will continue to live on through his movies, fans, and family.
