Who says you have to go somewhere exotic to enjoy your spring break? There are lots of things you can do locally or even right at home. Spring break is just about enjoying your time off from work, school, or life in general. You can find a lot of things to do around your area; you just have to be creative. Here are some suggestions.
- If you are in the mood to be pampered (who isn’t?), visit your local spa. Massage Envy has tons of packages to choose from ranging from facials to customizable massage therapies. You can also call up a couple of friends and make it a girls’ day out.
- A Tiki party is a great theme for spring break. Just stop by your local Party City and pick up some exotic decor. The great thing about this party is that it doesn’t have to stop once it gets dark; just make sure you pick up some tiki lights. As for the food, look up some Hawaiian inspired recipes online and bring out the grill.
- Rent a hotel room with a couple of your friends for the weekend. If you are dying to feel the spring break vibe, then this is a pretty good idea. You can check Travelocity and search for a hotel near you. A plus would be a hotel with a pool!
- Grab some friends and family and take a dinner cruise. Music, dancing, food, and great scenery… it doesn’t get better than that. If you live in the tri-state area there are always ships cruising around the Statue of Liberty. If you’re interested in this and want more information, visit spiritcruises.com.
