It’s time for the Primetime Emmys — yes, again! After the 2023 Emmys were delayed due to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, we always knew we’d be getting two Emmys in one year. But wow, has the time flown. This round at the Emmys, Shogun stole the show as the most-nominated series with a whopping 25 nominations. The Bear comes in second at 23. Only Murders in the Building, Hacks, Abbott Elementary and Baby Reindeer are also big contenders for the 2024 Emmys. The 2024 Emmys is focused on shows that were broadcast between June 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024.

The 76th Emmy Awards will be hosted by Eugene and Dan Levy. The Schitt’s Creek duo are the first ever father-son pair to host the awards. There will also be a star-studded slate of presenters, including Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, Martin Short, Greta Lee, Matt Bomer, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Kristen Wiig Kathy Bates, Candice Bergen, Billy Crystal, Viola Davis, Maya Rudolph, Dick Van Dyke and Steven Yeun. Olympians Caeleb Dressel and Ilona Maher will also be making appearances.

The 2024 Emmys will be hosted by father-son duo Eugene Levy and Dan Levy of Schitt’s Creek (among other things) fame.

Feel like we just had an Emmys? Well, you’re right! Due to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, the 2023 Emmys were delayed until January of this year. So while we did get an Emmy Awards show in 2024, it wasn’t actually the 2024 Emmys — make sense?
