Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of the late Whitney Houston and singer Bobby Brown, died today, July 26. In her final moments, she was surrounded by her family at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia. She was only 22 years old.
“She is finally at peace in the arms of God,” the Houston family said in statement to ET. “We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months.”
After Bobbi Kristina learned about her mother’s death on February 11, 2012, she “suffered a hysterical breakdown and had to be sedated and hospitalized.” She was also treated for severe stress and anxiety, and it goes without saying that the past few years have been hard on her.
Nearly three years later, Bobbi Kristina was eerily found unresponsive in the same way her mother was found, and a source told ET that Bobbi Kristina suffered from an apparent drug overdose. Paramedics were able to resuscitate her, but she fell into a medically induced coma and was placed on life support.
Our thoughts are with the Houston family during this difficult time.
