How to Create a Perfect Skin Care Routine

How to Create a Perfect Skin Care Routine

Even if you have the best skin care products, you won’t get the most out of the ingredients if you don’t apply them properly. Most importantly, you need to apply the skin care products in the right order. The products that you use depend upon your skin type and the ingredients of the products. When you start applying products, start with the ones that have a thin texture and move on to the thicker ones. The reason is that thin products won’t be able to penetrate the thicker ones.

Here are important skincare steps that you need to follow for a good skincare regime

Wash Your Face

No matter how expensive products you use, it won’t be very effective if you don’t start with a clean face. Wash your face in the morning and night. Rub a small amount of your favorite cleanser from Synergie Skin – Australia and massage it all over your face using gentle pressure.  Then gently pat your face dry with a soft towel. If you wear makeup, then you need to cleanse twice before bed. You can even keep eye makeup removers on for a couple of minutes to allow the makeup to come off easily.

Apply Toner

Apply a good toner after cleansing your face and before you put on anything else. You can use a clean cotton pad every time and put a few drops of toner and gently wipe your face. It’s even better if you use an exfoliating toner that also helps remove dead cells. Another great option is to use a toner with a hydrating formula twice a day for radiating skin.

Use Serums

Morning is the best time to use a serum, especially one which contains an antioxidant as it will protect your skin from free radicals. In your nighttime skincare routine, add a moisturizing serum with hyaluronic acid to calm down your acne-prone skin. No matter what serums you use, remember that water-based serums work best under moisturizer, and oil-based serum should be applied after a moisturizer.

Apply a Good Eye Cream

You can either apply face cream or use a special eye cream. Make sure to apply your eye cream underneath the moisturizer since it’s light in weight. Try using your eye cream with a metal roller ball applicator. The best way to reduce puffiness under the eye is to store the roller ball applicator in the fridge before using it.

Use Spot Treatment

If your skin is acne prone, then you might have a few spots on your face. It’s best to use spot treatment at night when your body is in repair mode. Avoid pairing acne spot treatment creams with acne-fighting ingredients like benzoyl peroxide as it causes skin irritation. Use products that help keep your skin calm and hydrated.

Moisture

You need to apply a good layer of moisturizer to keep your skin hydrated. It also helps lock in all the layers of skin care products that you applied earlier.  Look for a lightweight moisturizer to apply in the morning with SPF 30 or higher. For the nighttime routine, you can use thick cream.
